Opal Coast Visit

During the first week of the Easter break, pupils visited the Opal Coast on a French cultural trip. On their arrival in France, pupils enjoyed a language tuition lesson at the Université d’été Littoral-Nord de France in Boulogne-sur-Mer. On Saturday they absorbed the culture through a visit to a local bakery, where they learnt how to make a French loaf, and a chocolate factory, where they learnt about the chocolate making process and tasted some delicious handmade chocolates. They then completed a town-trail activity in St Omer. On Sunday they spent time at the Nausicaá Centre National de la Mer, the largest aquarium in Europe, followed by visit to the old town in Boulogne-sur-Mer. They rounded off the day by enjoying some downtime at the beach. Evening activities at the Chateau they stayed in included cheese tasting and making crepes. Un voyage inoubliable!
