Safeguarding

John Lyon aims to create an atmosphere in which pupils feel secure and valued.

We are concerned about the welfare and safety of all our pupils and work to provide an environment in which pupils feel safe and listened to.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children includes protecting children from maltreatment and ensuring children are able to grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.

The Safeguarding Policy forms a key element of our work in achieving this.

Prep School safeguarding

Our priority is the welfare and safety of all our pupils, and we work to provide an environment in which pupils feel safe and listened to.

Our School Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy has been developed to foster a safe environment for all within the School, inclusive of children, staff, governors, agency staff, volunteers, sub-contracted staff, visitors, guests and all others who are affiliated with the School.

All Safeguarding issues are to be reported immediately to the Prep Safeguarding Lead/DDSL, Miss Emily Sherr (Head of Little Lyons & Pre-Prep), who can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 0208 515 9522.

In her absence, safeguarding matters can be reported to the other Prep School Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, who are: Mrs Ayesha Rasool, Mrs Angela Shaw, Mrs Shaheera Alimohamed and Mrs Christina Evans, who can be contacted on 020 8861 8861.
