Harrow Family of Schools

We are not your typical school. Not only are we Northwest London’s leading co-educational, all-through 3 to 18, independent school but we also are part of something much bigger. John Lyon School sits within John Lyon’s Foundation and is one of the key constituents of the Harrow Family of Schools.

The Harrow Family of Schools comprises:

John Lyon School

Harrow School

Harrow International Schools

  • Harrow-branded schools operating in 10 campus locations in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand by Harrow’s founding schools-franchise partner, Asia International School Limited (aislharrow.com);
  • Harrow International School Bengaluru, India (www.harrowbengaluru.in), the first of five planned Amity Harrow Schools, including one in New York, USA; and
  • Harrow School Online, which is owned and operated by Pearson (harrowschoolonline.org).

In total, the Harrow Family educates over 9,000 pupils each year. All schools in the Harrow Family that are eligible for inspection were most recently marked “excellent” or “outstanding” in all areas. On average, 48% of the Harrow Family of School’s Year 13 leavers in 2022 had places at the top 100 universities in the QS World University Rankings, with 44% of John Lyon School pupils going on to study at Russell Group universities.

The unique set up of the Harrow Family of Schools means that John Lyon pupils benefit from these close links and regularly take part in pan-Family events, including an annual Fifth Form Conference, assemblies and lessons streamed with partner schools, creative-writing anthology and a STEAM magazine. In addition, staff often have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues all over the world in order to develop best practice and exchange ideas and resources.

We are proud to be part of this diverse and pioneering global educational community.
