Harrow and the Hill Community Day Event

As members of the Harrow family of schools, we have kindly been invited to join the ‘Harrow and the Hill Community Day’ next Saturday 30 April. Pupils, parents, residents and friends from around the Hill are invited to join in a day of celebration to mark the 450th Anniversary of Harrow School.

With the high street being closed to cars for the day, please do take advantage of the excellent public transport links. Food stalls and restaurants will be open from midday with most events taking place between 2pm and 6pm. Highlights include art, photography and sculpture exhibitions and workshops, exhibitions of traditional games, an Old Speech Room Gallery 450 exhibition, access to the Rayleigh Observatory, costume-themed streets, Bellringing in St Mary’s Church, dance acts and street theatre. John Lyon pupils will be supporting the event with contributions to the music, drama, CCF and archery line-ups, whilst our prep pupils from Quainton Hall will be performing Bollywood dances!

  • Bollywood Dance by Quainton Hall – Outside Vaughan Library – 3.15pm to 3.45pm
  • Music by Quainton Hall & John Lyon – The Bandstand – 2.30pm to 3.00pm and 4.30pm to 5.00pm
  • Drama (The Tempest) by John Lyon – The Park Drive – 2pm to 2.30pm

We do hope you will visit what promises to be a fun event for the whole family.
