Chamber Choir Reach Final of National Competition

We are delighted to announce that the Quainton Hall Chamber Choir – for the second year in a row – has reached the final of the National Choral Competition, run by Barnardo’s.  This is yet another remarkable success for the group who also made the category final of the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, competing against similar choirs from across the world in July this year.

This time around, the Choir beat school and community choirs from across the country and was one of only 14 groups to be selected to compete in the primary/prep final.  As a result our 26 pupil choir of boys and girls along with the Director of Music Mr Jones and Head of Music (Prep) Mr Haswell will travel to Birmingham in February next year for the finals  taking place at Birmingham Symphony Hall.  They will perform two songs to a panel of expert judges before taking part in an evening competition concert, something they are all very much excited about and looking forward to!

Once again big congratulations to the choir on such an amazing achievement.  Tickets for the finals in Birmingham will be available online very shortly and we hope that many parents and friends of the school will support them in Birmingham.
