Green Careers Fair

On Monday 11 March, as part of our British Science Week activities, we welcomed several speakers from a variety of backgrounds to showcase their experience in the green sector with our pupils and parents/guardians. Our speakers explained how green careers is a fast-growing global employment sector offering young people a chance to make a difference in the world. Our pupils and families were delighted to have a exceptional array of professional panellists for an informative Q&A followed by a browse of employer stands.

We thank our speakers (listed below) for coming along to this event and we hope this will help inspire the next generation who are thinking of going into the green sector. Our Lyonian Association is a key part of our school – they sponsored this event and, as ever, were enormously helpful in tapping into our Old Lyonian network and enabling our pupils to speak with successful professionals.

Our Lyonian Association looks forward to hosting many more careers and community events very soon.

“I liked hearing from the representatives about their passion for a green future. Their introductions were really fascinating. I particularly liked hearing from the sustainability and mechanical engineers from RED, as well as what the Sustainable Fashion Expert was saying about recycling and upcycling clothes.”
