The John Lyon School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of PE Technician and Sports Coach. The successful candidate will join the School’s sports staff within a busy and productive department. They will be responsible for the administration of the School’s sports programme and involved in assisting with Physical Education and coaching sport at all levels on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will possess a good level of playing and/or coaching experience, allowing them to be heavily involved in the extensive extracurricular programme and support the teaching of sport and PE across the curriculum and on match days. They will help deliver some PE lessons and support morning, lunch and after school sports clubs. Administrative support for the PE and Sports department will be of primary importance. This role would suit a Sports Science or Sports Studies graduate or a well-qualified Sports Coach, but deviations will be considered. Previous experience is not essential for the PE aspect of the role but a full UK driving licence is required.

The John Lyon School is a successful and well regarded independent HMC School situated in Harrow on the Hill. We have a sports centre on site, which includes an excellent swimming pool and our 25 acre sports ground at Sudbury Playing Fields which includes a state of the art all weather pitch.

Salary: circa £23,000 – £27,000  p.a. (actual pro-rata salary for hours below), depending on skills and experience

Hours: 40 hours per week x 38 weeks per annum (term time + 4 weeks). Regular work on Saturdays will be required.
