Netball

As one of the school’s newest competitive sports, Netball is beneficial for girls as it provides a structured and team-oriented environment that encourages physical activity, contributing to overall fitness and health. The sport promotes essential social skills such as communication, teamwork, and cooperation, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among female players. Additionally, netball helps girls develop agility, coordination, and strategic thinking, contributing to both physical and cognitive aspects of their well-rounded growth.

All girls in Year 7 & 8 take part in netball as part of the Spring term Games programme and most continue as they progress through the school. We run A and B teams across all age groups and compete on the local circuit.

Netball has proved extremely popular amongst the girls and trips to the Vitality Nations Series and our first overseas tour to Holland have supplemented the programme well.
