Year 5s explore art at Senior School Campus
One of the many benefits of being an all-through school, is the unrivalled access to facilities and the use of different learning environments across our campus. Year 5 pupils recently enjoyed a special visit to the Senior School Art Studio for an enriching lesson led by the Head of Art, designed to inspire creativity and further develop their artistic skills.
Using a medium that was new to them, polymer clay, Year 5 designed and modelled imaginative anthropomorphic animals, exploring expert techniques to build their models.
Some of our A-level Art students also joined the session, offering encouragement and sharing their own creative experiences. Their support helped the Year 5s build confidence in their ideas and develop their creative skills as they experimented.
This visit is just one example of our wide-ranging enrichment programme, which is embedded across our curriculum. In line with our ‘one school two campuses’ ethos, we continue promote cross-school collaboration, shared learning and new opportunities for pupils across the School, supporting both academic development and personal growth.
