A week in sport: Snap shot from the Senior School

Our Sports Department continues to promote a ‘sport for all’ ethos by providing a rich timetable of sporting opportunities across all age groups. This term is full of competitive fixtures, co-curricular clubs and training sessions, ensuring all pupils develop their skills and lead active, healthy lifestyles alongside their academic studies.

Here’s a highlight of a week in sport at the Senior School.

Netball
Our Year 7 and 8 girls competed in several fixtures against Orley Farm, showing excellent teamwork and growing confidence on the court.

The Under 15 squad also delivered a fantastic performance in their Borough fixture against Canons School, securing a well-earned victory.

Water Polo
The Under 16 team travelled to Eton to compete in the next round of the London Championships in the London Schools Water Polo League. The squad represented the School with great commitment and despite a strong performance, they were unlucky to lose to Eton College on this occasion.

In other water polo news, two members of the U16 team celebrated individual success. Congratulations to Jacob and Tiger, both in Year 11, on their selection for the U16 National Age Group Water Polo squad.

Table Tennis
Eight pupils represented the School at the West London Table Tennis Championships. Congratulations to Rohan (Year 7) and Srikar (Year 10) who both qualified for the Jack Petchey finals in the Summer term. A great accomplishment!

Half-Term Sports Tour
Over half term, we were delighted to welcome pupils from Clifton High School, Bristol, for an exciting sports visit. The two schools competed in three football and three netball fixtures, providing valuable competitive experience within a friendly and supportive atmosphere. It was a rewarding experience for all involved, giving pupils the opportunity to test themselves against new opposition, build confidence and develop new friendships.
