Urban Agriculture in the Outdoor Classroom

As part of their Co-Curricular Programme (CCP), the Year 8 Urban Agriculture group have been spending Friday afternoons at the outdoor classroom based in Sudbury. The pupils have been learning about agriculture from an urban perspective, and this outdoor space has been the ideal location to support their practical understanding of the subject.

Since the start of the term, the group has spent many an afternoon at Sudbury learning about animals in the locality as well environmental problems facing our community and how they can help combat them.

More recently, the pupils have worked together to prepare the ground for Wildflower seeds to be sown to encourage the bee community back the in the area. Thanks to their amazing efforts, the bees have begun to return after two years!
