Friends of QHS Summer Fair

The Summer Fair held last Saturday was a great success, thanks to the fantastic weather and the support of many QHS parents. Led by Dr Manju Sharma-Bhatt and Mr Anil Kavia, the community came together for this event, which was the first fair since 2019.

The fair took place in our larger garden and playground areas, where children, parents, and friends gathered with joy and smiles. We had refreshing drinks, delicious Asian food, and tasty cakes. The children ran various stalls that were a big hit. The bottle tombola, book and bric-a-brac, and other stalls were busy, and the Karaoke, go-karts, and bouncy castle were incredibly popular. Local businesses and restaurants generously donated lovely prizes for the raffle.

Aside from being a social gathering, the Friends of QHS also aims to raise funds for special projects that the school may not be able to afford from its regular budget. We are thrilled to announce that the final profit from the fair, after covering expenses, is estimated to be over £3000, the highest amount ever achieved.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in planning the day, running the stalls, and making it an enjoyable experience for all. Furthermore, we are delighted to share that Manju and Anil have agreed to jointly lead the FQHS in the coming year, with the hope of receiving the same wonderful support from families as in the past.
