The John Lyon School is celebrating winning two national awards for academic performance in the Sixth Form. The boys’ independent day school in Harrow received the double accolade for A Level Drama and AS English from the well respected Good Schools Guide. Headmaster Kevin Riley said: “These awards cap an excellent summer of examination results at The John Lyon School and reflect our rigorous focus on teaching & learning and the hard work both of our teachers and our students. “Drama has a growing reputation for excellence here at JLS, both as a curriculum subject and an extra-curricular activity, and the A Level award reflects this. Our two new Drama studios, which will be opened later this month, should help us extend that reputation even further.” Mr Riley congratulated the Head of Drama, Deborah Gibbs, and Head of English, Dom Roy, and their respective teams.
