Admissions

The John Lyon School is an academically selective school. In September 2013, we expect to offer 66 places at 11+ and 30 places at 13+. 

Applications may be considered for other years if there are places available. Please contact the Admissions Office is you wish to discuss your situation as each application in this instance would require individual attention.

The Head will base her decision to offer entrance to the School on examinations, reports from the boy’s current school and an interview.

We take special note of potential and achievement in music, sport, drama and the creative arts. Whilst a boy may show promising potential in any of these fields the Head’s decision is based on his academic results which must take overall priority.
