A Welcome from the PFA
The John Lyon School Parents' and Friends' Association. Helping to develop good relationships between parents, children and School.
The PFA aims to create links between the School and parents by using social events and fundraising activities. These provide opportunities for parents to meet each other informally, socialise at enjoyable events and raise funds for extra facilities and resources for the benefit of the boys and the wider community.
The support of parents is vital in reinforcing the sense of community within the School and this support is manifested in many different ways:
In a common respect for the values and high expectations of the School.
In encouraging the boys to be the best they can be.
In the support needed for active participation in the wider life of the School.
Attending concerts, shows and sporting fixtures.
Being interested in the life of the school and giving constructive feedback.
Being involved in committees for events and fundraising (PFA).
Previous Parents' and Friends' Association events include Quiz Nights and a Bollywood Party.
Our PFA is open to all parents and guardians. We look forward to welcoming you to future events but, if you would like to get to know more parents and be involved with organising new events, please do contact one of us (see details on separate page).
