Following the successful introduction of the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) last year for boys in the Sixth Form, this year the Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) has been introduced for the most able, committed and enthusiastic students in Year 10. The qualification gives them the opportunity to complete a 2000 word project on any topic of their choosing.

On Friday 22nd June the twenty boys who have been selected travelled to Queen Mary University, accompanied by Miss Teunissen and Miss Crathern. There they learnt some skills which will prove vital later in their academic careers, such as how to use a library catalogue, how to find and utilise academic journals and how to reference a source. They came away armed with numerous useful resources and some invaluable academic skills.

The boys will write the first drafts of their projects over the Summer holidays and will complete them in the Autumn term. They have made an excellent start and we wish them well.
