The Parenting Teenagers Course is now full.
The course will return in the new academic year.
Whether you have been through parenting a teenager before or this is the first time, we would like to welcome you to attend our Parenting Teenagers Course for parents of 11-18 year olds. The course has now been running for a number of years and has always received positive feedback from parents.
The challenges facing parents today are complex and widespread. This is an opportunity to get together with other parents, share some thoughts and hopefully learn something new as well as enjoying some light refreshments.
Mrs Laura Herman, the School Counsellor, will be running the programme and topics will include: meeting teenagers’ needs, setting boundaries and helping them to manage their emotions amongst others.
It will run for four weeks on Wednesday evenings on Wednesday evenings, 26th April, 10th May, 17th May with the final session on Wednesday 24th May (there is a week’s break on Wednesday 3rd May).
Places are limited so if you would like to attend you are advised to reserve a place as soon as possible by emailing Laura.Herman@johnlyon.org with your name, child’s name and year and contact details.
We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a very interesting programme.

Takeaway tools for understanding and dealing with emotional challenges and meeting your teenagers’ emotional needs, I feel very privileged to have access to this fantastic facility which is already improving family dynamics. Thank you very much to Mrs Herman and The John Lyon School." Parent Testimonial.
