The range of courses that our students will study demonstrates the ability of the John Lyon Sixth Form team to identify and nurture students’ passions and interests. I am extremely proud of the fact that this group of hardworking young men will go on to study such a wide range of subjects including Medicine, the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), the Social Sciences such as Geography, History and Economics, Modern Languages, Classics as well as the Arts. Sam Singleton has been a dedicated Music scholar during his time at John Lyon, he has secured three As and a place at Bristol, to read Geography. Both Sam and his twin brother, Joe, have chosen to study at the same University and offered some thoughts on his time at School "My experience of being at School with my twin brother was a very positive one; teachers treated us as two distinct individuals and we were able to help one another as we progressed. The school has provided me with all the support needed in order for me to reach my potential, in a calm and unpressured manner. It was their belief in me which gave me the confidence to have a strong work ethic."

Joe Singleton will read Ancient History at Bristol “Having attended John Lyon with my twin brother, I can happily say that the school allowed us to excel as individuals. Going to the same school as him made my academic career far more enjoyable and my parents have no regrets at sending us both there."
