This year, as is traditional, the Old Lyonians will challenge four teams of the best and most enthusiastic cricketers of John Lyon. The matches will be played on the top quality cricket squares at the School’s playing fields, Sudbury Hill, the 25 acre sports grounds just moments from the School.

Following the success of last year, we are delighted to confirm that the 140th Anniversary Tennis Tournament is now an established part of Association Day and will once again see boys, parents and Old Lyonians compete in singles, mixed doubles, parent/pupil doubles and OL v parents doubles matches. All matches will be played on the new Astro.

Tennis registration and warm up will be at 1.00pm with play starting at 1.30pm. There will be changing facilities available and the presentation of all prizes will take place at approximately 6.00pm at the Lyonian Pavilion followed by a BBQ.

If you would like to register your interest to play in the tennis tournament please email Mr Ian Parker,

For players and spectators, a cream tea will be served during the afternoon and the Lyonian Association bar will be serving drinks including Pimms.

With plenty of sport to watch and a family ‘fun zone’ to entertain our younger guests there is plenty to be enjoyed by all the family.

You are welcome to bring your rug and a picnic, and to enjoy an evening BBQ at the Lyonian Pavilion with live music, to celebrate another exciting year of sport for John Lyon and the Lyonian Association.

If you would like further information on Association Day, please contact the Lyonian office.
